What is Bempong Talking Therapy?

I use a secure platform for online sessions, including but not limited to Zoom or Skype. Please check if your location allows for the use of these platforms. In exceptional circumstances, I may contact you by telephone if the media is down or inaccessible.

I want to see a therapist; what should I do?

The first step is to book a discovery session. If you want to start the process, please visit our booking site for one free discovery session.

What happens after I book a discovery session from your website?

Soon after completing the booking, you will receive an automated email with information about my talking therapy service. In the email, you will have confirmation of the date and time of our discovery session and a zoom link for easy access on the day of our meeting.

What happens during the initial therapy session?

During the initial session, you will have a safe space to disclose any topics you would like to bring to therapy, along with questions and concerns.

How often should I have to talk to therapy?

I would suggest attending one or twice weekly, but please discuss it with me at the initial consultation.

I need to see a therapist urgently; do you have any availability this week?

Short answer. Yes, you can if I have any slots available on my calendar that week.

Where do therapy sessions take place?

Our therapy sessions take place online using video conferencing. I will confirm all the arrangements with you in advance.

What is your current availability for therapy sessions? How long does it usually take to book the first session?

My availability changes quickly. If you would like to book an initial appointment, please book a discovery session through our website to secure the best time.

Is it possible to have your discovery session on the same day as the booking?

If I am available, I would love to chat with you.

How much is the session? Do you offer discounts for therapy sessions?

The initial discovery session fee is just £40 reduced from £80. Once we have assessed your individual needs, we agree on the right package for ongoing therapy with me.

Are therapy sessions confidential?

Trust is integral to a therapist-client relationship; therefore, all sessions will be confidential. However, there might be certain circumstances where I may have to consider breaking a client’s confidence for their safety. This decision is not taken lightly and only if there is a risk of immediate harm to the client or another person. I will explain how it works during your discovery session. In some situations, I might need to share notes, for example, if you see more than one therapist.
